Committees

Membership Committee

This committee will be a liaison between the Executive and General membership. Their aim is to increase membership and encourage participation.

Members: Mel McGuigan, Marie Wilson

Santa Claus Parade Committee

This committee will organize separate meetings as necessary. The parade is held the first Saturday in December starting at 6:30pm. Duties include arranging for Santa and a float, advertising, sponsors, signs etc.

Special Events Committee

This committee is responsible Business After Hours, Business Breakfasts and speakers throughout the year. Business After Hours should be held every second month, Business Breakfast the alternate month and speakers when available.

Members: Doug Storrey, Brad Pyke, Linda Bowers

Community Achievement Awards Committee

This committee is will be responsible for sponsorship of the event as well as choosing the winners from all nominations that are received.

Members: Marie Wilson, Susan Bradley, Linda Bowers

Fundraising Committee

This committee is responsible for suggesting or presenting ideas for fund raising events other than those already listed. Their recommendations would be subject to approval by the Board of Directors.

Members: Elizabeth Wolff, Mike Watt, Marie Wilson

Ways and Means Committee

This committee is responsible for getting volunteers to help out when necessary with small projects involving the office space and other projects that may require outside sources.
